90's Kid's Have Spoken! VERY FRUSTRATED with Nickelodeon!!

Since I've been chatting live with all you 90's kids on the official the 90's are all that facebook, one thing is obviously clear!
WE WANT MORE NICKTUNES!!!
We are extremely happy All That, Kenan & Kel, Clarissa Explains it All & Doug are back on TV, BUT the excessive commercials of ALL THE SAME STUFF is a bit much don't cha think?!
I understand the commercials from their sponsors. However, Nickelodeon plays the SAME commercials OVER & OVER again and they're getting nauseating!
I think it'd be a cool idea if they showed the commercials they showed in the 90's! It'd definitely add to the nostalgia factor we are all craving! OR AT LEAST MAKE NEW COMMERCIALS TO AIR. I honestly don't think it'd be that hard to do!
A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF WAITING FOR NEW SHOWS TO BE ADDED!!!
They SHOW commercials for other shows, but NO WORD on when we will be seeing them again! MAYBE WE WOULDN'T BE SO IMPATIENT IF NICKELODEON DIDN'T RE-SHOW THE SAME EPISODES OVER & OVER IN THE 4 HOUR BLOCK. IT SHOULD BE 4 HOURS OF ALL DIFFERENT EPISODES! THEY HAVE ENOUGH OF THEM TO SHOW, RIGHT?!
THEY CUT OUT THE MUSICAL GUESTS ON ALL THAT!!!!
YES YOU HEARD CORRECTLY! THEY CUT OUT ALL THE MUSICAL GUESTS ON ALL THAT!!
Let's all have a moment for a big WTF?!?!
Apparently it's not "popular music" anymore. WELL DUH IT'S FROM THE NINETIES!!!
I knew something was missing from my All That, but it didn't take until a fellow 90's kid mentioned it that I realized what it was! I'd LOVE to see all the old performances from the 90's and I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!
Whether or not Nickelodeon will hear our complaints is unclear, but they did hear us when we asked for our 90's Nickelodeon back so who knows!
Until then I hope everyone keeps tuning in because even though they haven't mastered the formula yet...it's still the 90's Nickelodeon fix we've all wanted for so long!

  1. Did they come out and say they didn't include the music from All That because it wasn't popular anymore? I thought it might be because of it being a hassle to find all the musicians again and pay them for the copyright to play them on the air again or something like that.

And, yea, I'm getting tired of the exact same commercials, too. It's not just that they are the same commercials, but they play them in the same order, as well. I think it would be cool to play 90s commercials, too, but that is pretty unlikely, and I doubt they have any that aren't Nick related.

The thing that bugs me the most though is that they have this block running for four hours (and the last two are reruns of what they previously showed in the first two). So I wonder why they can't show different episodes like you said, or different shows.

I think that they are just testing the waters right now. I don't know if they really expected it to take off as well as it has, or they probably would have made the block bigger.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog & comment! :) means a lot to me!

Whenever the artist first performed the song in the show, they signed the rights to show it at anytime so I'm pretty sure they'd be able to. If you watch really old episodes of Saturday Night Live on TV they always include the performances, but you could be right about them not wanting to pay the artist copyright. I am unsure.

I didn't notice they played them in the same order, that's HELLA annoying though!!! I'm sure they have vaults of old Nickelodeon commercials that they could show. It'd make it feel like we were watching it in the 90's again :) Your right, I doubt they will tho :(

Them showing reruns that we saw the first 2 hours is what really is getting me MAD!!! They have A LOT of programming from the past that they could use to fill up that slot and people most definitely wanna see it!!! I think you are right about them testing the waters and not expecting such a turn out of support, but I think it's lazy of them to show the same stuff over and over. I am hoping all this buzz eventually leads to a all 90's channel! that'd be amazing wouldn't it?! :)

    keep checkin back :)
    xoxo

  7. The reason why they cut outr the musical guests, is for copywrite reasons.

  9. Hey man,I'm just happy that it's back. But, the only 90's Nickelodeon shows they play are All That,Kenan and Kel, Hey Dude, and Doug. But, if you have Comcast (Xfinity), go on demand, go to kids, then Nickelodeon, finally, Nick Rewind and for 90's Nick fans, you will thank me. To see the shows listed above,Teenick has them at 9:00 PM to 12:30 PM 7 days a week!
